How is Your Age Verified?
When you create an account or place an order with Brit Sauce, we require your full name, billing address, and date of birth. This information must match details found on official records, such as those associated with your driver’s license, electoral roll, or credit card. Providing accurate information is essential, as it will be used to confirm your age before any products are dispatched.
To perform this verification, Brit Sauce partners with 1Account, a trusted age verification provider. By purchasing age-restricted products, you give consent for us to share your details with One Account Mobile Limited (1Account) and their third-party data providers. This is necessary to ensure that you meet UK age restriction laws for purchasing vaping products.
Additionally, 1Account retains relevant verification data for future orders, meaning you won’t need to verify your age again. All data is securely processed and periodically reviewed to ensure it is not held longer than necessary. To learn more about 1Account’s data policies, visit their official website: 1account.net.
How the Age Verification Process Works
If you are placing an order for the first time with Brit Sauce, or if you use a different email address from the one linked to your account, a 1Account Age Verification pop-up will appear at checkout. This pop-up will attempt to confirm your age automatically using the information provided.
If the automatic verification is successful, no further steps are required. However, if the check fails, you will be given the option to verify your age through one of the following methods:
- Mobile Phone Number
- Credit Card Check
- Electoral Roll Database
- Driver’s License
- Citizen’s Card
Alternatively, you can email a photo of your passport or driver’s license to sales@britsauce.co.uk for manual verification.
Once your age has been successfully verified, you will not need to go through this process again for any future orders.

As part of the Department of Health & Social Care’s regulations, from 1 October 2015, it became illegal for any adult to buy (or attempt to buy) tobacco products or e-cigarettes for anyone under the age of 18.
